Sentara is hiring a Pharmacist-Outpatient for Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital in Norfolk, VA!
Status: Full Time (40 hours)
Work schedule: Will work rotating 8 hour shifts, M-F from the
shifts between 8am - 7:30pm
AND every 3rd Saturday for a 7 hour shift from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Rotate observed holidays 8am - 3:30pm, (Christmas and Thanksgiving
closed) with special holiday pay and weekend differential, if
applicable.
NO Sunday.

Job responsibilities:
Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff
approved clinical practice standards. Maintains current knowledge
of drug use through continuing education. Serves as the primary
resource for drug information. Assures the appropriateness of all
physician medication orders. Precepts pharmacy students as
assigned.

Job Summary

Required experience must be in a retail setting. Will consider
pharmacists not licensed in Virginia due to relocation. Must have
Virginia license within 90 days of Sentara start date.
Qualifications:
BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Pharmacy (Required)
Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - North Carolina Board of
Pharmacy (NCBOP), Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license -
Other/National, Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - Virginia
Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
