Job Description:

Position Purpose: The Government Contracts Assistant Manager is charged with assisting in the operations of the Government Contract and ensures that all work is performed in accordance with the statement of work incorporated into the contract between VersAbility Resources and the U.S. Government. Primary Duties:

  • Directly responsible for the immediate supervision of all Contract Leads as well as Contract employees
  • Directly responsible for monitoring operations in accordance with the Statement of Work
  • Directly responsible for ensuring quality customer service which includes direct interaction with customers, the
  • Directly responsible for promoting and maintaining positive lines of communication with various contacts including
  • customers, FSO and other Government personnel
  • Directly responsible for staying current on all policies and procedures of VersAbility Resources, governmental agencies and the specific contract site requirements. Communicates any issues and/or concerns immediately to appropriate management officials
    • Assisting the Contract Manager to ensure the contract meets or exceeds all AbilityOne ratio requirements and/or VersAbility requirements- whichever is greater
      • Assist the Managers with conducting formal or informal audits to include physical site inspections, to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and laws including, but not limited to; food safety, OSHA, Fair Labor Standards Act
        • Assist the Manager with staff scheduling
        • Assists the Manager to ensure the contract complies with all safety requirements including proper maintenance, education and communication of information found in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) binder including, but not limited to; proper labeling and storage of chemicals, proper indications of medical issues related to chemical use and proper first aid related to chemical use
          • Assists the Managers in department planning and budgeting processes
          • Assists the manager to ensure proper vendor relations including, but not limited to; accurate recordation of invoices, proper pricing, proper inventory levels and ordering scheduling
            • Assists the Manager in reporting any issues related to the contract to the Director of Government Contracts and/or Assistant Director of Government Contracts
              • Assist the Managers in aiding families, individuals, care providers and other stakeholders with resolutions and problem solving techniques
                • Assist the Manager in monitoring and updating IEE data information and communicating results, issues or other
                • pertinent information to appropriate VersAbility staff
                • Assist the Managers in completing performance reviews for employees
                • Maintain individual confidential records files and ensure program notes and other records are properly maintained by staff
                  • Provide effective communication with families, other staff, case managers and other agency personnel to provide exceptional person centered services for staff with disabilities
                    • Serve as Back up to Managers during absences.
                      • Other duties as assignedQualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities: Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred. Experience: Prior supervisory experience required. Two to five years of experience in food service preferred. Experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred. Skills Knowledge & Abilities: Must have knowledge of procedures involved in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation Must be able to work flexible hours Must be able to work virtual error free under the stress of time constraints to complete specific tasks. Must have knowledge of medication administration Must have the ability to multi-task independently Must be able to demonstrate patience while training others that require repeated cuing Must be able to use a computer proficiently for typing of reports, communicating via email, etc. Must have effective oral and written communication skills Physically able to assist individuals in personal care or behavior management training programs Valid Virginia Driving license required, and must be insurable under VersAbility's auto insurance. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or other non-level surfaces.Recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities Must be able to lift independently fifty (50) pounds, bend through a full range of motion and stand for extended periods of time Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
