  • Experience: 2 years
  • 2 years of PICU and CVPICU experience to include hands on with generalized respiratory, neuro surge patients and a vigorous cardiac care background.
  • Strong skill set needed in all care areas due to our acuity and diverse population of patient diagnosis.
  • High proficiency in post-neurosurgery patients, asthmatics, or trauma, SI, Status Epilepticus, Cleft Lip/ Palate, Craniofacial and specific medication administration (versed, narcotic analgesia).
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1;1:2;1:3
  • # of Beds / Rooms / Bays: 31-40
  • Use of Ancillary Staff: yes, CNA;
  • Areas of Float Support: NICU, General Care Floor (Peds)
  • Select Age Group of Patient Population Seen/Treated: Infant;Pediatric;Adolescent;Adult;
  • % Inpatient Patient Population Seen/Treated: 98%
  • % Ambulatory/Outpatient Population Seen/Treated: 2%
  • Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Respiratory, Neuro, Cardiac
  • Special Procedures: ECMO, CRRT, Aquapheresis, CT placement, line placements, procedural sedation.
    • Job Requirements
    • Licenses: RN(Compact Accepted)
    • Certifications: BLS; ACLS; PALS
    • Certs and License cannot expire during the 1st 13 weeks
    • FLU required. No exemptions
    • 6 months of travel experience
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour rotating shifts to include every other weekend and holidays.

        • Applicable Cardiac/Circulatory: Blood/Blood Products Administration;Cardioversion / Defribillation;Cooling / Warming Blanket;CRRT/Dialysis;CVP;ECMO;Epicardial Pacer Management;12 Lead EKG Interpretation;Open Heart 24-48 Hrs Post-Op;Rapid Transfusions;
        • Applicable Line Management/Equipment by Indicating the Lines That are Accessed and Care Provided within the Unit: Drains;Epidural Pumps;EVD/ICP;Feeding Tubes;Fistula;PCA Pumps;PICC/Central Lines;Port-A-Cath/Vascula Device Access/Care;Syringe Pumps;Traction/Halo/Pin Care;Triple Lumen Catheter;Wound Vac;
