Job Description We are excited to be recruiting new talent to
join our growing and innovative team. This position requires an
AV/VTC Engineer that understands all aspects of the AV project life
cycle covering requirements, design, drawing, documentation,
installation, configuration, control, testing, troubleshooting,
sustaining, and maintaining. This position will be in a unique,
fast-paced environment working directly on-site as the AV subject
matter expert with Naval Special Warfare (NSW) customers. Our work
heavily focuses on NSW community providing an opportunity to work
on some of the most cutting edge government facilities in the
world. The selected candidate serves as AV/VTC subject matter
expert to ensure all AV systems across the command are up and
running in order for our NSW customer to perform daily mission
essential duties. This position will be responsible for developing
the standards of design for all future systems. To include
acceptable technology, equipment and approved manufactures based on
DISA and GITC guidelines. This will also include the development of
GUI standards and command wide standardized programming
requirements.Responsibilities:
- Primary system commissioner ensuring all systems are functional
from a programming, networking, audio, and video standpoint.
- Develops and facilitates customer acceptance tests and provides
end user training.
- Participates in design team efforts reviewing drawings and
equipment lists to ensure systems meet all requirements such as
size, shape, arrangement, and capabilities.
- Ensures obsolescence plans are in place for all AV systems to
produce optimal reliability and efficiency.
- Assists project management with integration scheduling, as well
as determining project manning and technical requirements.
- Performs configuration of equipment in accordance with industry
standards, best practices, and government security guidelines.
- Develops Digital Signal Processing (DSP) files from a blank
canvas.
- Remains up to date on new and emerging technology, including
understanding of audio and video flow including AEC and EDID
principals.This position is located at Joint Expeditionary Base
Little Creek - Ft Story in the beautiful Virginia Beach area of
Virginia. Some relocation assistance may be available for qualified
candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to
relocate to Virginia Beach or the surrounding areas.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree and minimum of
6 years AV/VTC experience or high school diploma and a minimum of
10 years AV /VTC experience- AV/VTC system design and installation
experience- Manufacturer Certifications from one or more of the
following - Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, Clearone- Excellent
customer-facing skills- Strong written and verbal communication
skills tailored to government customers and sponsors- Ability to
work independently in troubleshooting complex system issues and
developing complex technical solutions- Knowledge of 2D CAD drawing
development (Visio, AutoCAD, or equivalent)Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline-
CTS, CTS-D, and/or CTS-I certified- Familiarity with Naval Special
Warfare (NSW)- Prior Military, DoD, or IC experiencePay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
